Since he moved in about 3 wks ago, he has used our washer, dryer and laundry soap. Our landlord and my husband told him not to but he keeps doing it. He has his own washer and dryer and all of them are connected to separate electric bills. I caught him using our dryer again yesterday. What is wrong w/him! Any suggestions other than killing him?

Tell him the next time he does it you'll contact the authorities, as that's the same as stealing your electricity.

Send him a bill for the use of the service. Make it look official and tape it to his door. Include a price list, i.e.: One load in washer - $1, One load in dryer - $1, Laundry soap - $4, etc. Dude sounds like a jerk.

Find your electrical panel and turn off the outlets to your washer and dryer and take your soap back to your apts. If you need put a lock on your electrical panel. That should do the trick, and plug your devices into his electrical outlets. Smile

Did you approach him, and tell him, he has his own dryer, and that the next time he does it you are going to press charges against him, because that is stealing electricity. Now you have to go to your landlord, and ask him to tell his tenant, about using your things, and from now on keep your laundry supplies in your apartment. Now tell your neighbor, that you do not want any trouble, but to leave your things alone!

Try unplugging yours when you are done. He just might not check that. If you catch him again, charge him like the laundremat would. $1.50/wash and $1.25/dry. He is obviously trying to keep his bills low. Tell the landlord again and maybe he just might be moving sooner than he expected.

Keep telling the landlord...and notify him in writing by certified mail that if he continues that you will request reimbursement through civil court!
