this 29 year old guy says that he likes me and thinks that im a nice girl blah blah,we have kissed only, yet, he wont ask me out on a date.its "give me a call when your next in my town". we live in different towns.
he knows that a came out of a 6 year relationship 8 months ago and that i was engaged with a mortgage with my ex.could this be a reason why he hasnt asked me out?he doesnt know why i ended the relationship.my ex has moved away.
he is single, has his own place too and has his career sorted.wouldnt he be ready for a relationship?he hasnt been married before.
i met im through my ex.he isnt a friend of my ex.he always used to text me now and then when i was with my ex too.hes has kept in contact with my now for 2 years.we are not really friends as such.

Surely if you have kept contact for 2 years and nothing has materialised by now, don't you think this guy finds your approach as desperate? Him being single, I believe, would opt to go out with single ladies as well, as he is also trying to start his romantic love life with someone unknown to him on a clean pedestal(no offence). Should he ask you out one day, then he may only be after sex and no commitments.
Better still, since he is playing hard to get, why don't you invite him out instead? You have to meet on neutral ground and if he turns up, grill him about how he feels about you, do this latently and logically and don't appear to be desperate. Try not to make a fool out of yourself, maintain your dignity as they are many caring men out there who would love to take you out.
Again instead of gawping on one guy, why don't you try some dating agencies, maybe you may find a better catch than your 29 year old dream lover.

Sometimes one person just has to take the initiative and make a stronger move. Sometimes I am confident enough to pursue a guy and sometimes not, I know it feels risky making the move but if you really want it, then go for it and get the message across.
