I'm interested in buying a Sirius radio, but I don't know if I need another radio and where exactly the music comes from.

Basically, does the music come out of the receiver itself? Thanks.

The satellite radio comes with a long antenna that will need to be placed near a window. This antenna will then pickup the satellite signal to access the sirius channels. No regular radio is needed.

I've found that my sirius radio works great in the car except for when you're in a tunnel or a garage. I've had bad luck playing the receiver indoors as I couldn't get the antenna to consistently pick up the signal. I would suggest finding someone who has one and trying it out in your house, first. If the reception there is good, then I would suggest buying one, because the programming is far superior to conventional radio stations.
