Actually all life on this planet depends on the phenomenon of water expanding when it freezes (the only substance that does so!). Because of this ice floats on liquid water and bodies of water solidify from the top down, and so creates it's own insulation to allow life to continue even through the cold of winter.

Poducers are just human beings, and the only life that depends on them are their dependants. You're either dependant or not; Pick one and be that.

You need to be more specific. I believe what the question is referring to as producers is photosynthetic organisms, which are at the beginning of the food chain and are responsible for carbon-fixation. All other life forms depend on them directly or indirectly for sustenance.
