Over the last few days (since thursday) I have been experiencing pain in my lower right adominal region. The pain is not consistent..sometimes it doesnt hurt, other times it is dull, and then there are times it is a sharper pain. The pain also seems to "travel" on occasion along my right side up to under my rib cage. I have had a cold and ear infection (which is being treated for antibiotics). I am sexually active and am due for my period in a couple days but these pains are not typical of my menstrual cramps. A few days before this happened there was some blood when i had a bowel movement and have only had one bowel movement since then (it was fine) (Sorry for the details). I also have a loss of appetite and am not eating as much as I usually do. Any help would be appreciated I know I should see a doctor rather than asking Yahoo Answers but am away at school and the PA at the school is not the greatest in diagnosing people. Thanks....

Please see a doctor ASAP. Loss of appetite, abdominal pain. and bloody, irregular bowel movement are signs of serious illnesses such as ovarian and colon cancers. Tumors will cause bleeds and pain. You may also have an internal bleed caused by an ulcer. Please go to an emergency clinic or hospital. The bloody bowel movement is cause for immediate concern. I apologize for waving red flags at you but it is in your best interest that you address this health concern now rather than later. Better safe than sorry.

My daughter had something similar to this recently. She is 36, and after a day and night in the emergency room and $12,000.00 in testing, they felt she had had a cyst on her ovary burst and cause the pain. Although there was not obvious solution.

Try to count back and see if this started about the time you would have ovulated, that can get painful, if other things are wrong.

Good Luck.

blood in the stool? hmm..dark or bright red. well that might be as you defecate (sounds nasty) basically your butthole might tear a lil and thats where a lil blood can come from...to put it plainly. otherwise, if its dark blood its from ur upper GI tract that that can mean internal bleeding. when your in pain, generally your not that hungry cause of the pain, or something might be wrong with your GI tract. something around that area. if it continues go see a doctor. if your not having a BM then try eating fiber, green leafy vegetables and things of that sort in order to help move your bm's. it might jsut be constipation you never know.

Angeleyes used to be my handle. Anyway...I had a pain just like the one you are describing in January of 05. I went to the ER because my mom (a RN) thought my appendix was hot. They did several tests (CT, pregnancy, everything) and found nothing. The pain went away on its own. Monitor it...you may want to call your doctor just in case, and go see someone if it gets worse.

I would first check to see if you are pregnant (you never know). You should probably go to the doctor, you may have a vaginal or urinary infection
