If money wasn't an obstacle, how many children would you prefer to have? How many of each sex?

People should only have one child to replace each parent. So, if you are in a normal one husband-one wife marriage, you should only have two children. If you have one of those, kids by a previous marriage/relationship situation, then still only have one for each parent (3 parents, 3 kids).
Keep in mind, if you follow this advice, don't freak if you have two sons because some other couple out there is having two daughters.
And if you each have kids from a previous relationship but absolutely MUST have one that belongs to both of you, don't feel that bad because some couples chose not to have kids at all.
Remember, although it is our responsibility to keep the human race going, it is a burden to overpopulate the earth. It will lead to food shortages in the future, as more and more farming families are selling their land and moving to the cities.

There are as many answers to that question as there are people having kids. My husband (second husband) has 4 children -- 1 son (deceased) and 3 daughters. I have 3 children -- 1 daughter and 2 sons. One of my friends has 2 chidren -- one of each. Another friend has 1 daughter. My brother has 3 children -- 2 sons and 1 daughter. My half-brother has 2 children -- one of each. My step-sister has 2 children -- one of each. My step-brother has 3 children -- 1 son and 2 daughters. That's an average of 2.5 kids per family. However, step back a couple of generations and ... my maternal grandmother was one of 11 children, my maternal grandfather was one of 13 kids. That's an average of 12 kids per family.

After having my three, I wish I would have had another one or the last one could have been twins. Whatever number you decide to have, make it an even number. If you don't, there's always one kid who is the odd man out. I was one of three and it always worked that way.

Two.

There is no need for a couple to replicate themselves any more than that. The world is crowded enough as it is. And this way we could give each plenty of attention.

None - I like dogs. Don't have to send them to college, pay for their wedding and they leave home near 13 years old.
