i made my 7 and 8 year old girls a barbie house. my girls have all the barbies, bratz, ponies, etc. and i just couldn't see buying more...so i built a house for them. it's just a simple basic house...nothing fancy. i know they will love it though..and it will have sentimental value too since i made it. there's a place on hgtv.com that shows how to build a barbie house out of an old bookshelf. that's not how i made mine, but i saw the episode and it was a really good idea. i unfortunatly already had mine built. i made furniture also for it. it was fun. not sure if you are crafty or not. i also made them each their own body pillow...they are always taking mine! lol , kids at that age love to do crafty things. michaels craft stores and hobby lobby stores have lots of kids crafting sections. good luck!

My 7 year old likes movies - all the Barbie Princess movies, she even likes the old musicals and definately all the holiday movies. High School Musical is a big fav!

My niece is going nuts over Littlest Pet-shop stuff right now... If she likes animals, she would probably like them. Plus, they are soo cute!
