Yes. Cleveland won the 1985 AFC Central at 8-8.

Yes. In the 2004 Season St. Louis and Minnesota made the playoffs with 8-8 records. In 1999 Dallas made the playoffs with an 8-8 record. In 1990 the New Orleans Saints made the playoffs at 8-8

Only one 8-8 team has ever made the playoffs, and that was the Cleveland Browns in 1985 with coach Marty Schottenheimer, QB Bernie Kosar, and RB Ernest Byner. They lost in the first round of the playoffs 24-21 to the Dan Marino led Miami Dolphins.
