You can't correlate weeks to months exactly. So just count the months- how many months has it been since your last period? For example if your last period was April 3, on May 3 you are 1 month, June 3 you are 2 months, July 3 you are 3 months, etc. and on December 3 you would be 8 months.

Anyone who tells you a month= 4 weeks is wrong. Only February is that long. If you calculate it that way pregnancy is 10 months long and it isn't (plus telling people you're 9 months pregnant at 36 weeks is a bad idea because then they expect you to have the baby any day and you still have four more weeks).

Pregnancy math....arghh

Ok so I've too asked this question to my DR. and I was told a full term pregnancy is 10 months (10 lunar moons) 40 weeks. so if you are 35 weeks you are almost 9 months.

As for me I'm 32 weeks so I just started my 8th month!

9 months almost

but it takes almost 10 months to have a baby

its the way a doctor calculates, the first 2 weeks or so from your last period are included. and most women give birth earlier like 38 weeks, and if your over due at 42 weeks they'll induce you or ceserian section is performed because your entering the 11th month.

but in reality they count those 2 weeks where you are not actually pregnant and the last 2 where you are really pregnant

Don't ask me why, its crazy, but they do! made me nuts i have 3 boys and each time i tried to calculate where i was i could hardly figure it out, and had to count it over and over again, or wait till i saw the doctor again.

35(weeks)*7(days in a week)/30(days in a month)=8.166 months, roughly equivalent to 8 n 1/2 months.
Means to say your pregnancy should be complete in about 1 month and 14 more days.Earlier than that -still safe...as you have passed the 8 month period :) Congrats!
