Ranelagh which is 5 minutes from the city centre has loads of fab restaurants all along one street I love Diep Noodle and Tribecca and Mint.
the city centre is teaming with them it depends what kind of food you are looking for but there is everything from greek to indian to chinese to lebanese to polish everything Dublin is just the best place! I love Tante Zoes, FX Buckleys, Fitzers, all the pubs do great food too and we have some fab creperies. If you want seriously posh (expensive) go for Shanahans on the Green. Otherwise just take a walk around and most Irish barmen (cos you will pop in to a pub!) will tell you all you need to know.

It depends what you're looking for, Bistro 1 in Foxrock is great and very reasonable, it's the casual side of snobby. If you're looking for something a little more upper crust try more central places, like Shanahans. Dundrum town centre has a good range of restaurants in loads of different price ranges. Chapter One is very renowned but very pricey. It is around Parnell Square somewhere.
Cheaper ones are Pacinos in Suffolk St. Eliza Blues in Temple Bar, Fitzers in Dawson St. There are many restaurants in Temple Bar and Dame St and are all of a decent standard. Look at www.visitdublin.com

There are several plesant restaurants in Monkstown & Dalkey (both southside) & in Malahide & Howth (northisde) Eating out in Dublin is expensive.

try down the temple bar area,there are plenty of fab eating places there but be sure to take plenty of money as dublin is expensive in fact BEING irish is expensive.I've just been there myself but yeah temple bar is your best bet.

Gallaghers is a good place and one of their specialties is a boxty, a potato pancake wrapped around beef, chicken or lamb as well as other items.
