I saw on a special T.V. show years ago that babies at 6 months were given swimming lessons! I couldn't believe it and thought surly this was some kind of joke. Years later I took care of a little boy who had swimming lessons at 12 months old. I found that hard to believe too! But it was true.

It depends what pool. The one near me doesn't allow children under 4 months of age.

I think when the belly button cord falls off all the way then the baby will be able to go in the pool. Always use proper suntan lotion. And a hat or scalp sun tan lotion is always good. Good luck

I took my baby into the pool at the hotel we were staying at when she was 3 months...Its not like they are drinking the water or anything..they may just get cold and grouchy..Be prepared to get out shortly after you get it :)

Whenever you feel comfortable to do so. I introduced my baby when she was 5 months old. She loved it!
