Was in Berlin this weekend, saw an interesting monument outside the Reich stag Building.?

It looked like large slates or slabs, but they had writing on the edges with names and dates. Can anyone tell me who it is for? Some of the letters are "DVP".

The monument for the politically represed people in front of Reichstag. On the edges of each plate there is a name and the time period when a person lived.

Holocaust victims. Beautiful isn't it? Hope you went to the jewish museum too, thats really moving
