I had my first prenatal today, at 11 weeks pregnant :) My dr. didnt try to find the heartbeat, but he did an ultrasound and i seen the little heart beating away it was AWESOME :)!!!!! The baby was already sucking on its hands :) Is a heartbeat of 150-160 normal or is that kinda high? 160? i always thought that was high....My other two boys had heartbeats of about 145? Thanks :)!!!

It is fine. The average is 120-160 and they beat faster in early pregnancy. I went to my 14 week checkup today and the babys heart rate was 160 too. It has been that rate at every visit. There is an old wives tale that if the heart rate is high the baby is a girl.

The heartrate is normal. My son was an average 152 everytime. Some doctors wont listen for the heart if doing an ultrasound. Some doctors u even need to ask them if u can hear the heartbeat. Also depending on ur weight it might now be possible to hear the heartbeat yet. The heavir the person sometimes the harder to hear the heartbeat.

Both of my sons heart beats were 160 at the first and toward the end of the pregnancy they both slowed to about 130 to 145- So ya totally normal!

congratulations!! it is so very exciting to see the miracle of your child on ultrasound for the first time. the heartrate is normal. old wives tales say a heart rate that high is a girl. which was true in both of my cases. my babys heartrate ran 150-160 the entire time i was pregnant with her.

you in many instances can not hear the pulse with a stethoscope until eventually after 20 weeks yet you would be able to desire to have an exceedingly sturdy stethoscope. I nonetheless could not hear my toddler's heartbeat at 30 weeks.

That's normal. My daughter's heartbeat was that high for awhile, and she was born perfectly healthy.
