I seriously suspect it was. Most everything celebrities do is planned for publicity. Many are media whores who will do anything to keep themselves in the papers and on TV. Then they pretend to be all shocked when something comes out: "Oh, my God, my porno tape "accidentally" got released to the media". It's like when Tara Reid's t*t "accidentally" popped out of her dress and she stood around pretending not to know it was hanging out. How many people have really had a "wardrobe malfunction"? I can't remember the last time I, or any other non-celebrity, had their t*t fall out of their shirt/dress or pants fall down or skirt ride up when they weren't wearing underwear in public.

He had planned to rip off part of her shirt, but she was wearing a bra underneath it. When they performed it at the Super Bowl, he accidentally grabbed the bra as well and ripped them both off. You can clearly see this in the video.

It looked staged to me. If she wasn't expecting to have her top yanked down, why did she have that metal star thing covering her nipple?

i think it was planned i think she had the nipple piercing on purpose for that & he did say he'd have her naked by the end of the song!
