I really like this definition:
'The conscious production or arrangement of sounds, colors, forms, movements, or other elements in a manner that affects the sense of beauty, specifically the production of the beautiful in a graphic or ... other medium. ' (PS I don't like the word plastic in the original definition).

This is my own theory...I have been an artist for many decades and so far this theory holds up. An artist is the guy in our society that points out interesting things as life goes by. Imagine society is a group of nature hikers and everyone is lost in their own little worlds as they go along this nature hike. The artist is the guy who notices something everyone else missed and says,"Hey, look at that!" Art is the "Hey, look at that!" in society. If it makes people stop and look or stop and think or even notice something else along the way then it is art. Works for me.

I can tell you what is NOT art.
Modern Art is not Art, just a rip off.
You want to see art, look at Michelangelo´s masterworks.

art is what beauty means to exist. its the shadow of everything what people think that life wouldn't reach them for the sake of expression of artistical visions.
