he found it disgusting when two men or women kissed, but I find that with teenagers( boys & girls) they are all over each other in public places that's what I consider a lack of class, but I have never ever seen two women or men kissing. Is it that the gays & lesbians just have more class?

For those people who are gay & were just simply holding hands with your partner in public has someone actually had the nerve to say something to you?

Overall I don't think of gays and lesbians as having "more class" than anyone else, many times "we" act and react the way we do because the reactions of other people can be a bit more extreme than they are to heterosexuals performing the same behavior.

I don't think that we necessarily have more class than straight people.. I think that we have learned to be much more wary of such potentially threatening (gay bashing) situations. I live in a gay village and this behaviour is common...but in the suburbs..no way. You're right though about some people lacking class..I, of all people, have no hang ups about sex...but I really don't want to watch a couple go at it while I'm trying to relax and enjoy my lunch or book or whatever. A few simple kisses/hugs are ok..but much beyond that I find a little much. If there is steam visibly rising from the next table then I'm uncomfortable.

There is much more bigotry against gay and lesbians, of course they are going to be more careful about openly showing affection.

I openly kissed my ex-bf in public, and on a couple of occasions held his hand. Most people don't accept this well. Fortunately, we are both advanced enough in our martial training that we could handle most things which would come up, in terms of a physical confrontation. Still, considering the current public feelings, we did it only rarely. When he was in high school, he had a person pull a knife on him just because of his orientation. These kinds of actions do tend to make one more careful.

I would not say that gays and lesbians have more class, I would put it this way, since the beginning they have been discriminated. And for that reason, they act more civilized outside than the non gay people. They know how to show respect to others, where others don't care what they do. For for people they are already condemned without even knowing them, so they act with a bit more finesse. At least I know my friends do (yes they are gay).

Yes.
Also, due to the bigoted nature of some parts of society, we hear about it a lot more when we do PDA in public. So this has a "chilling" effect on most LGBT couples, who end up not doing it anywhere.

Displays of affection, if small, are fine. Excessive displays of affection belong in private, no matter what genders are involved.

Good question!

No! Most teens have no freedom. So when they get a chance to make out with ther mate they do it where ever cuz there young and free minded they dont think of others all they think of is themselves. And most gaya and lesbians dont because they just are tired of being judge so they keep it to themselves so they dont get the stares and the finger pointing.
