Not possible. A cam can NOT get larger. Due to wear, it can only get smaller.
If you are having hardened steal "Swell" on you, then you are breaking the laws of physics.
If I were to guess, I'm thinking your cam has actually lost some of its semetry... no longer a proper oval shape. It could be machined, but then that would make it smaller yet.
Best to just replace it.

are you looking to buy a high performance aftermarket camshaft ? there are ones that have roller lifters , more data and possibly a better translator are needed , good luck
