You are really taxing my time machine but if my memory is working, I think I remember it being 19 cents for just the regular hamburger. I know, that during one period of time, I used to buy 5 for a dollar. Now those were the most basic hamburgers with no cheese of anything else on them aside from a pickle slice and some ketchup and mustard. Of course the dollar was harder to make and bought a lot more. For example, the minimum wage was about $1.50 an hour, premium gasoline was about 20 cents a gallon, I rented a nice little two bedroom house for $100 a month, and a reasonably well equipped full sized American car was about $3,500.

Hope that helps.

15 cents for a hamburger, 20 cents for a cheeseburger.

I remember a McDonald's anniversary and they charged these prices for a day when I was a kid.

I don't remember the price of a burger, but I remember their commercial that bragged about getting a whole meal for less than a dollar! Get a burger, fries and a drink for under a buck. That was a long time ago.
