so, my first mistake was attempting to argue with a member of the Israelite Church of God in Christ (ICGJC) on how thier religion didn't make any sense, that their holy books and beliefs didn't make any logical sense. And their final answer? I am speaking the word of satan, and that they are still right. What is with people? stop coming near me if you aren't willing to enter into a logical discussion, which is hard when you religion MAKES NO SENSE.

rant over. But i'm sure others have had similar situations, right?

to clarify- this is not an opinion based argument, like a jewish person arguing with a hindu over the meaning of God. I literally mean that if they were to read their holy book, which they decided was the bible, it would not logically match what they claim, how they worship, or what they do. in short, they haven't read thier own book

They lock people up for believing in things that we can't see but in religion you get a free pass.

Come on ! Why do you say that the Israel Church of God in Christ doesn't make any sense ? All churches teach nothing but the supernatural. All intelligent people know that the supernatural does not exist. It's all just superstition.
All religions teach nothing but the supernatural. Gods that can do anything, angels flying all over the place, souls that can travel for trillions of miles through space, a soul that's sub-microscopic, but can be inflated back to human size.
I don't know anything about the ( ICGJC ) church, but I'm sure they're no screwier than the rest.

Yeah I do. God didn't place us on this earth thinking we were all going to behave. Of coarse he wants us to follow the bible wich some of us don't do so much AKA me and he can be disapointed when we don't but he expects us to drift off of the high road once and a while. If we didn't and we all did everything god wanted us to yeah the world would be a safer and just outright better place to live in someways but in others we wouldn't be aloud to get tattoo's or piercings or wear make-up plus even those christian finatics make mistakes in theese area's sometimes weather they addmit it or not.

first of all i get the best of both worlds *sarcasm* because i do not consider myself a fundamentalist or a religious fanatic...

i believe in God and the teachings of Christ but i do not take everything that the bible says "literally" so i get called everything BUT a child of God sometimes...

however ive learned that some people are just dumb ignorant sheep who would rather have another human being tell them what God wants for them or what it is they are supposed to be doing...

so ive learned to take in everything and try to sort out what i feel is BS on my own...and i feel a lot better about myself and my beliefs afterwards...

Read Judges 2: 11-12, and Romans 1: 18-32. It has been going on for a long time. Jesus is coming and will set them straight. He loves you.

Only out here. I actually find it funny. And complimentary!

I mean that sincerely. You know how sometimes when people are insulted, they're actually offended and hurt, but they play it off like it's funny or it doesn't bother them?

Well, this isn't one of those times. I really DO find it funny.

They feel compelled to convert you, and when you refuse to listen to them...they write you off. Don't waste your time with any religious group that doesn't allow for reasonable conversations about their beliefs. While you might ultimately never agree with their assertions, they should remain respectful to you.

I don't hate it. I think it's really funny because the fanatics are proving to me that they're hypocrites. I just laugh and tell them they're crazy.

i think it's quite funny myself - but i didn't like it too much when my granma (god bless her soul) called me a heathen. lol!
if you believe in god - that's the only judgement you should care about - and if you don't - you have nothing to worry about.
