1-If he has already turned the heater on, the room "would be" warm.
Is "would be" correct? and can we use "will" instead of that?

2-There isn't any book on the table.
Is "any" the right word here?

1 - I would use 'should be' or 'will be'. Alternate sentence for 'would be'. If he HAD already turned the heater on, the room WOULD BE or WOULD HAVE BEEN warm.

2 - There isn't A book on the table or There AREN'T ANY bookS on the table. 'Any' refers to plural subjects/objects, 'a' refers to a singular subject/object.

1. Well that depends, if he just turned on the heater the room "Will" be warm. If he had turned on the heater some time ago the room "would be" warm.

I also agree with #1 that if he HAD turned the heater on, the room would be warm

2. No the sentence is wrong.. these would sound better...
"There ARENT any books on the table"
"There isnt a book on the table"

1. I would change "has" to "had" to make "would be" correct.

2. Any is OK, but probably not the best choice. I'd use "a" instead.
