The spotting started on Mon, Nov 27 so I went to the ER room. They did 2 vaginal u/s and found nothing. They told me it was either because it was too early or that I had a m/c. However, I've had no pain whatsoever and it's been very light spotting. The next day I went to my OB and she did another u/s and said that I was in the process of a m/c and that I would start bleeding heavily. This has yet to happen. The next day I had my first bout with morning sickness so I called another OB and he saw me. He did an u/s and saw the baby along with a heartbeat. I went to the first OB today and she said again she couldn't see the baby and that the sac had grown but was not in the round shape it was supposed to be. She also said that I was hemorrhaging and that she still felt like I was miscarrying. My next appointment is next week to see how things are and to see if she will do a D&C. I'm against this right now. I just wanted to know if anyone else has experienced this and what i should do?

Well, like the others said, I am very concerned with how you are getting two different opinions. Honestly, I would go to a third doctor and see what they say. Explain to them the two different opinions and see if they can give you another. I have had three miscarriages, so I understand your feelings right now. Keep getting ultrasounds and make sure that there is a heartbeat. Make sure that you DO NOT get a D&C before you know FOR SURE! I have heard some horror stories of women who had been told they were having a M/C and when they went in for the D&C, and the baby was fine. Good luck with everything

Oh sweetheart...I am so sorry. It sounds l ike to me you are getting mixed opinions. Maybe it will all work out. Maybe little guy is just moving around and causing some confusion. If you want to get another opinion...then do that!!! You have that right and I will tell you that I would before I even considered a D&C. I would make d*mn sure that there was no heartbeat. Now...the sac can be slightly different from person to person...but at 6 weeks, vaginally you would be able to see the heart beating.

Good luck darling...and lets us know how it goes!!!

When I was about 6 weeks pregnant I was having the same problem. One doctor said that I was probably having a m/c and told me to drink plenty of fluids and rest. Then a week later I too started having morning sickness so I went to another doctor she said that was completely normal to bleed a little , and now I have a wonderful 3 month old daughter. Hang in there and don't stress out about it that is the worst thing for a mother to be to do.

I would go back to the doctor that told you there was a baby first before going to see the one about the D&C. There is definately something going on. I don't understand how there can be such conflicting opinions between doctors. Be absolutely positive that there is no baby before doing a D&C. Remember, not all doctors are good ones.
