I have a German Shepard/Rottweiller named Doyle Von Frankenstein...lead guitarist for The Misfits. I love Doyle, the dog and guitarist. Doyle was a pound puppy and his name was Max, but didnt really come to it so we changed it and it took immediately.

I also have a Black & Tan Coonhound/Boxer whose name is Maynard James Keenan....lead singer of Tool and A Perfect Circle. Maynard is fun, sleek, and loving. He was also a pound puppy and he didnt have a name. My husband said "Lets name him Maynard." The dog turned his head and looked right at my husband like that was his name all along. So it stuck.

I have a cat named Misty Mae...after the Professional Beach Volleyball player. I thought that would be a great cat name for a siamese and when we went to adopt a kitten, there was a lilac point siamese whos name was Misty...so we scooped her up in a hurry. It was fate.

Last but not least, 2 house geckos named Optimus Prime and Skeletor. It just seemed fitting, we have had them for 5 years.

My older dog is named Buddy. I got him from a rescue group and didn't like the name they gave him so I called him by that name and gave it a couple of weeks to see his personality and since he wanted to be everywhere I wanted to be, well Buddy it was.

My second dog was named Bailey after a deceased friend's last name. I chose to use the last name because my three prior pets before getting dogs were dwarf rabbits and aside from the first one being named Christina (named after a friend gone away), I had named my rabbits Buster (named after the cartoon Buster Bunny) and Brownie (cause he had brown patches) so..to keep in tune with the B theme..there was Bailey.

I have three cats. I have puss, which was named that because that is the only thing that my fiance could remember. I also have bigfoot which is my little boy kitty because his feet are almost too big for his body. And then I have Sissy, not really sure why we named her this other than my fiance referred to her as Bigfoot's sissy for a while, haha!!

I have one cat name Tigre because she is striped like a tiger but being female we thought the spanish pronunciation sounded better. Another cat named Java because he is fat like Jabba the Hut but coffee colored. One cat is named ZEEK! (with the exclamation point) because he zoomed around the house as a kitten and makes this weird meepy sound that sounds like eek. Finally we have Pixel because he is all black except for tiny white hairs all over his body that look like pixels.

I named my dog Lollipop. She was a rescue dog and I was trying to think of a name for her. One day I started sing the Song "Lollipop" And she started barking in a happy way. So I sang it again and the same thing happened, so that is the name she picked

I have an orange long haired female. She is also tail-less. Because she has a little stub of a tail and is orange, I named her Punkin. I had a cat I rescued that was a 22 lb. grey and white monster! I appropriately named him Tubby.

My cat's name is Princess because she is a pampered little kitty. Since my fiance and I don't plan on having kids until our late 30's (we're in our mid 20's) we decided that Princess is our child. Our house is full of her toys and she sleeps on pillows that cost 10x more than the pillows we use for ourselves. I can honestly say she is living up to her name. :)
