I'm having a planed c-section (have no choice) and i went to the hospital yesterday cause i was having contractions and dilating. the doctor had the nurses stop my contractions wanting me to wait one more week. i'm already 37 weeks almost 38. and not even 24 hours later i'm experiencing them again. Is this normal?

It can be, if your baby wants to come then it will. At 36 weeks I started having contractions and my doctor wanted to wait longer and had mine stopped. Before I lefted the nurse told me if they started coming back to come back in and most likely I would deliver the next time. I didn't go back into labor until 39 weeks when my water broke, sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't.

It can happen, the outside world has no say in when Junior is ready to come out.
I think that you should go back to hospital if your contractions have returned. Your planned C-Section might become an emergency one.

I'm afraid even modern medicine and doctors can not guarantee that they can stop contractions once they start. If you think you are having contractions again call your OB.

YOu need to go back to the Dr. They can start again. You cant always stop contractions once they have started. so call your Dr, go to your Dr.

Get to the hospital and call your doctor girl that baby is ready to come

call your doc NOW...if you have to have a c-section they need to see you a.s.a.p. obviously medicine isn't working and they may have to do the c-section now! GOOD LUCK
