Probably for simple biological reasons. As every child (in Britain anyway) is taught in school - "The primary goal of every living organism is that it seeks to reproduce its species".
Homosexuals do not do this so they tend to extinction. This is therefore biologically unnatural.
this also includes the fact that their sexual preferences (physical that is) use organs that are not designed for the purpose. Since the human "norm" is heterosexual activity, homosesuals may be regarded as "ab"-normal ie. do not subscribe to the norm. This makes for dislike - not just in sexual matters.
Finally, the pressure homosexuals use to try to justify their actions - "all mammals do it - it's found throughout nature". True, and false! Correct, many mammals do product a small number of homosexual offspring. If the number becomes great enough, the species dies out, so, the rest (heterosexual) of the group usually attack and kill the deviant as quickly as possible, either by violence or by casting the individual out of the pack - generally a death sentence. So, the human homosexual group avoid telling the completion of this story. After all, it might not sound too good and might give others ideas.
Oh yes, there's still the fact that homosexuals and needle users are still the primary vectors of HIV. True, many women now suffer from it but the transmission rate between heterosexuals is far lower. Homosexual practices encourage activities which can (generally do) cause bleeding. Bearing in mind that HIV appeared as the "Gay plague" back in the 80s, it must have been the bi-sexuals who cross-contaminated the women. So, there's another argument against homosexuality.
I suppose the issue of effeminacy comes into the argument as well. most people prefer "men" to be "men" and not mincing "nancy-boys", to use the traditional name. This can in itself produce some odd abberations - for James Bond enthusiasts - Wint and Kydd.
So, keep straight and help overpopulate the planet :-)

The word 'homophobic' was invented by the gay lobby to try to silence anyone who thinks that homosexuality is unnatural and/or wrong according to their beliefs. In other words it is an attempt at thought control. i.e you must believe exactly the same as them or you are branded homophobic (i.e. a bigot).
Everyone should have the freedom to think and say whatever they believe on this issue without being labelled or branded.
Many people have sincerely held views on this subject, whether from a religious or evolutionary, retardation perpective, or simply an instinctive gut feeling that such activities are unnatural.
In a free society, it is deplorable that the so-called liberal elite think it is acceptable to control and suppress the right of people to believe exactly as they wish. No one can support or defend violence or abuse directed against any person, this is an entirely separate matter which certainly is not acceptable, but this is already covered by existing law and has nothing to do with the right to believe and voice opinions.

its all got to do with the way you were brought up.take me for example i was brought up as a christian, and i was thought that being gay way wrong, still to this day i believe this, but just because someones gay does not give other people the right to treat them without respect, only god should be allowed to do that, also some people might be homophobic because deep down they're scared that somehow the 'gayness' is gonna rub off on them.lol.this would only happen if u were gay in the first place!!!!!!!!!!!

Some people are scared about what they don't understand. What are they looking to accomplish? If you can't find anything better to do with your time than aggervating someone you don't know, about something you have no buisness discussing, you need a new past-time!
All these people talking about gays flaunting thier sexuality and pushing everything in your face is ridiculous! If it was some straight guy talking about a chick he banged at a keg party no one would care.
There are so many more useful things you can do with your time and energy than harassing people. Personally, I think being a homophobe is the most useless thing you could be.

Well to be honest with you:I am gay and I live in Holland, where we are not frowned upon as in your country.
Of course we have our share of Homo phobics:mostly people that have no idea what it is to be gay at all.And don't understand it or object to it,or have religious objections. We don't choose to be gay:we are born that way.
Should I GO BLAME MY PARENTS FOR IT?
OF COURSE NOT.
I don't harass straight people,so let us just be who we are.
That's all.
Greetings:Rob.xxxxx
We pretty much klive the same lives as any body else with a differnca:our partners are of the sames sex,big deal.

this is a question i often want to ask people too.
i blame moses myself, i believe he invented homophobia. people were pretty broadminded before he introduced the idea in his 613 commandments...i think he had the right idea about shellfish though, yuk!
another big reason certain individuals are homophobic is because they are in the closet, in denial of at least part of their own sexual orientation.
also, some people are just nosey and enjoy gossiping. i dont ask what others do in bed, so please keep your nose out of my bed, lol! taint nobody elses business, and i wont make an issue of my sexuality if you dont make an issue of it for me. pick on me for having big warm green friendly eyes instead.

I'm not homophobic right, but I remember when I was on a course there was someone there who was gay and I felt at the time .like he was throwing it in everyone's face.He even asked some of the boys if they had kissed any boys back in high school. And would make gestures towards people saying that he would like to do this with such and such.Like I said what people do in their own time is their fusiness but jsut dont flaunt it too much in people's faces.
