I was in the mall yesterday and well most of the black men wear their pants REALLY low, but there was this one guy in particular who had them almost down to the floor! i've seen this before. This style does NOT look good i'm sorry it just looks messy, i mean the guy was literally waddling because his pants were so low! me and my husband were laughing at him because of this, we couldn't help it! now i'm not saying ALL black guys because i know i'm going to get a lot of "how dare you generalize" but this is something i see a lot of,i just don't get it, i mean you can't look professional in these clothes, i just don't see how they are functionial, and then i see black guys that dress well and don't have to hold there pants up, so why is this? it looks like a frump fest to me?
i'm 24 by the way i'm not some old granny screaming "these kids nowadays"

i'm not SAYING wear ugly super tight jeans or anything, but how about some loose pants that fit at the waist? i really don't want to see there underwear

i personally think its the dumbest style I've ever seen! and i can't believe its still going on. i agree with you 100% it makes them look like a ninja turtle(LOL)!! pull you're damn pants up already!! half of these guys are probably over the age of 18! how so very sad!

Whether black or white,it's the dumbest damn thing I have EVER seen,you can only use one hand because you're trying to hold up your pants with the other,You look like an absolute fool,if that's what you're after,you've succeeded with kudos!! I own a business and several kids came in to apply for a job,I had to say,you'll need two hands to work here,not one with the other holding up your pants!! I neither am an old foggie! It just looks stupid!!

Actually, I agree with you. I feel there's a difference between baggy pants and low pants.
I really don't think it's cute when I can see a dude's Sponge Bob/ Spiderman drawers!
Someone told me that this is a part of slave mentality because back in the day the slaves had to wear their pants like that so that they couldn't run away. I don't think someone was taking fashion tips from the slaves when bring this style back. I'm pretty sure most guys who do this don't know this little fact.
I just don't think it's cute. I was watching a couple of old TV shows and music videos and I like the guys from those shows and videos. :)
Sometimes I think I was born in the wrong era!

I agree that boys dress ridiculous these days...i prefer a man that likes a belt not a man that wants to show off his heine. It happens in hispanic cultures also with the gangsters and such however these boys do not realize that in prison it is common to have the pants down in trying to flirt and put themselves out there for a potential hook up. Now im sure they would dress properly if they knew that! :)

I have a couple of friends who are cops, and they say they love this "fad" - it makes the thugs so much easier to catch! Two running steps and their pants are down around their ankles! Yes, I know not all guys who think we all want to see their underwear are thugs, but it's hard to take anyone seriously when they can't wear clothes that fit!

Ug, is that style still going on. It began when I left highschool in 93. I think its awful, but not as bad as the prison jumpsuits that was gaining popularity in Latino areas in LA.
Gangster I guess. "Urban" kids like the style. Its not just black kids. When I was in San Fran it was Chinese, Korean, Russian, Black, WASPs, you name it, if it was younger than 28, it was sporting that look.
I think its ridiculous too.

Why are you so worried about what black people are doing? #1- they probably don't like their wranglers squeezing the hell out of their nuts. #2- Its a fad. Its not all black guys. Its mainly the young ones who get their fashion sense from MTV and BET.
I'm pretty sure these black guys don't give a rats a s s what YOU think they should wear or how they should wear it. It actually takes quite a bit of effort to stare at someones a s s. So, do yourself a favor and don't look.

White people, why do ask questions pertaining to a whole race like they can enlighten you or something? Your question is stupid, black people are not the only ones that wear their pants low, i've seen a lot of skater "dudes", snow boarders, surfers that are usually white that wear their pants low, come on now. I am on 18 and know better than to ask such a silly question....

yes, i think it's very stupid also. but i take offense to you saying "Black guys", i'm black and i don't wear my pants hanging off my a*s.
actually it's our *****. the weight of our big ***** causes our pants to slide off our hips. (stupid)
