I'm going to assume you mean that the function is 5x - (3/2)x +1.

To find the inverse of a function, set the function equal to y, then convert the function so you have x equalling a function of y.
Example:
y = 5x - (3/2)x +1
y = 7/2 x + 1
y + 1 = 7/2 x
2/7y + 2/7 = x
Now, rewrite 2/7y + 2/7 using x instead of y, and you have your inverse function.

f^-1(x) = 2/7x + 2/7
