its actually simpler than that
i came up with 28

2
4 is 2 times 3 minus 2
10 is 4 times 3 minus 2
28 is 10 times 3 minus 2
82 is 28 times 3 minus 2
244 is 82 times 3 minus 2

this is simpler and applies to all the numbers after 2.

so , in symbol it would be
n1, n2 = 3n1-2, n3=3n2-2,n4=3n3-2,n5=3n4-2.................

You need to multiply the difference by 3 and add the previous number

Difference between 2-4 =2
2*3= 6, 6+4=10
6*3=18, 18+10=28
18*3= 54, 54+28=82
54*3= 162+82=244

Hope that makes sense.

2nd=first plus 2=4
3rd=second+2(3)=10
4th=third+2(3)(3)=28
5th=fourth+2(3)(3)(3)=82
6th=fifth+2(3)(3)(3)(3)=244

so your answer is 28
