My favorite was the one where Burgess Meredith is this little old man working in a bank, and he goes down to the bank vault to read, and there's a nuclear war where everyone else in the world is killed. So now, he has time to read all the books he's ever wanted to read. He goes to the library where he gathers books together, but when he sits down to read, his glasses fall off and break, and now he can't see to read. Sounds callous, but was a very touching episode.

i dont remember the name of the episode but it was the one with the guy who wanted to read books and his wife wouldnt let him read in the house. So the only time he had to read was on his lunch break at work. he worked in a bank and read his book in a vault. All of sudden there was a big crash and it was the end of the world. He was the only one to survive the crash and he was so happy cause he could read all the books and no one could ever bother him. All of sudden he trips and break his glasses. He screams cause he cant read without his glasses.

That's a toss up between the Talking Tina doll episode, the Mannequin who doesn't know she's a mannequin episode and the pig-faced hospital episode. (Sorry, I don't know the true names.)

i liked the one where they had a clown, a ballerina, a cowboy?, and a couple of other people and they were trying to climb out of a "hole" that they had fallen into. One of them finally made it out, only to land in the snow next to a holiday/Christmas toy donation barrel. A little girl picked up the "toy" that had fallen/climbed out and tossed it back into the barrel.

Eye of the Beholder. Best episode by far. That is, if you are refering to the original series.
