cps came and took my kids out of school and they think that they are in imminent danger .but of what ..if they were in immenent danger as they say wouldn't they have taken them along time ago.instead of out of the blue like they did.i work a full time job and i'm not on assistance from the state..i'm confused on how they can come and get kids that aren't in danger of anything.i heard that 80% of cps case files are false to begin with..what is wrong with america these days?

Get a lawyer. Anyone can allege that you are unfit, but CPS has to prove it to keep the kids. If you truly are innocent, you will easily be able to recover your children. The government will always take advantage of your lack of understanding of any due process rights you might have. It is kind of silly that you are guilty-until-proven-innocent when it comes to CPS. An aggressive defense of your rights is the only thing that will protect you and the children. Fight for your children and find out what recourse you may have by consulting a lawyer who specializes in family law.
Anyone can make a vague or exaggerated claim against you, causing you to spend thousands of dollars to defend yourself. It would he helpful to know if anyone had a vendetta against you, or some motive for getting your children taken away. The problem is that while 80% of claims might be false, the other 20% are not false...and the agency doesn't know the good guys from the bad, so they treat all as bad until proven otherwise.

Contact a lawyer yesterday, then call social services and see if you can get ahold of the social worker or investigator to see why your kids were taken. Please try not to use a public defender, in my expereince, they are too overloaded and overworked with other cases to give you fair representaiton if this goes to court.
In order to take the kid like that, a claim had to have been called in and this wasn't something that just happened overnight. They have to investigate the claim, then sit and deliberate at a table to see if the kids were in immediate danger then if they decide so, they take the kids right away, but they also have to have time enough to file a petition in the courts for the kids!
If no petition was filed and they didn't have a court order, they broke the law, and could be subject to severe repercussions! Something I don't think they would freely put themselves out to recieve. So either someone really has broken the law here, or you are not telling the whole story.
I hope you were not working and leaving the kids there alone, especially of they were not old enough, becasue that wouldbe a reason for them to come and snatch up your kids and leave you wondering what happened. Google fightcps.com and see if that helps!

Ok hope this can help.I had a gfriend who works for CPS yes some cases are false,but in order for them to take ur kids there had to be an investigation open on u. OK next thing work with them what ever u do or say wont get ur kids back soon,so just stall calm and prove to them u are fit parent.Hope things work out

must be someone who wants revenge on u, that u have had problems with recently. someone has called them, valid or not it is up to the cps to investigate, and make sure the kids are safe. usually it's someone u know who is trying to get revenge on u, or it is someone who really thinks there is some sort of danger.

It is either due to drug use, physical abuse, neglect, or maybe you have a boyfriend and one of the kids has reported being touched inappropriately. Cps must investigate. If there isn't anything to it then they will be returned to you.

I was in a similar situation, whatever you do make sure that when you sit down with the investigators that you have an attorney present. I made the mistake and didn't and it cost me thousands of dollars after the fact. Good luck.

somthing just dont add up here they are not going to come and take your kids with out a reason. and if your kids are school ages then they would have asked them if what was said was true. face it hun something is worng and now you need to fix it before you never see your kids again.
