It seems all too often lately (I am at home) I come into this office with coffee cup in hand and get on 'Answers'. Drinkin' too much coffee and spending too much time here. Maybe I should switch to decaf but, I love reg. coffee. I was recently bored with 'Answers' but, here I am again. Reading questions, spending a little too much time here when I should be out shopping. Am I just procrastinating? Maybe. Well, maybe it still has some fun in it. Dontcha think? : ) Then again, maybe I just don't want to go out there with the crowds. Do you feel the same way sometimes?

Mmmm! Yummy! Mocha or iced coffee. Which shall it be? Ha,ha!
Okay, I'm ready now to go out. My friends will be here in 15 mins, my husband is picking up the kids. So, I guess the shopping won't be too bad - I hope. : ) Nice hearing from everybody.
Thanks.

Sorry to say the answer is 'yes' to both your habits. Both coffee & 'Answers' are highly addictive & both should come with a health warning. I agree that shopping at this time of year is not enjoyable, so perhaps wasting - sorry - spending time at your PC is not such a bad alternitive. Believe it or not, you can pick up some useful information on 'Answers.' Care to join me in a mocha?

Yeah I love the yahoo answers, I just got voted the best answer for calling someone an unwashed idiot, that right there is satisfaction that you can't buy at a store. And, also coffee is not a bad habit only a means of contributing to society :o) I mean how could anyone honestly contribute themselves if they are too busy thinking about the sleep they could have had but are too busy shopping :o)

Nah, I've got the same habit. I'm a telemarketer and I spend my work day getting hung up on or yelled at, and surfing the internet.
Our Boss doesn't care what we do, just as long as we meet our daily quota. So I answer alot of questions, and drink coffee and Red Bull. This is a fun site. I used to visit YouTube more often but they pulled most of my favorite stuff.
Just sit back and surf mindlessly through all the questions. Have fun.

I hear ya!! I
I'm addicted to coffee....but the really weird thing about my coffee addiction is that I drink iced coffee.. it was normal when it was summer..but here I am in 40 degree weather still drinking it... I often ask myself...will I still be drinking ICED coffee in the snow....? As for answers I just joined yesterday... and I'm already addicted..I was on for hours yesterday.. I found myself infuriated with yahoo when i couldn't answer any more questions.. because I'm only on level 1. so I found my self voting .. Here I am today with my iced coffee choosing my questions wisely...so I don't run into the same problem today...
Damn point levels! ( I really should be writing my class final)
- about 120 points to go?

I empathize. Coffee is amazing, crowds make me angry/nervous, and there are few things more entertaining than Y/A (especially the religion/spirituality section).
But if this is a bad thing for you, which it probably is, maybe start reading more books? Ride a bike? Write something?
Those are the things that I do, anyway, when I feel like Yahoo has my soul.

Answering questions on yahoo is definitely better than shopping. You could be learning whereas with shopping you are spending money you should be saving.

Not a bad habit as long as it's not effecting your job. If you have nothing else better to do, than why not.......Sometimes doing things like this saves you the heartache of things out in the "real" world.
I watch alotttttt of fantasy, sci-fi and horror.............tis my escape from the realities of these days..........
So have fun with it...........
