In answer to you question no, if someone tells a joke that I do not find funny I don't laugh..I, just say that was sooooooooo funny I forgot to laugh!

My dad is a great example of this situation. He tells corny jokes all the time and sometimes I laugh and sometimes I don't. In the beginning, I used to give him a pity laugh, but then he really thought I enjoyed it. Finally, I just started telling him his jokes weren't very good and then when we would tell me a good one, I'd really laugh and he'd know it was genuinely funny.
Be honest or THEN they'll keep going. If they repeat it, just say " I got it but it wasn't funny", that ends up being funnier sometimes if you say it nice enough...

that is so funny b/c that just happened to me the other day. And the guy said you did not get my joke did you? I laugh and blurted out yeah but it wasn't that funny. I could not believe I said that!

I laugh a dry un-humorouse then say with a quite seriouse face, " not funny"

If we r with some other people i will laugh so that this person wont be embarrased but if it is just us i wont laugh and i will tell him that it wasnt so funny

no i say, That was not funny. Miss Manners says you supposed to make a hollow kind of squirmy look on your face laugh HEH.... HEH and look on your face supposed to say "OMG i can NOT believe you just said that and it was NOT funny"
but all you say is HEH and look grossed out and confused.

Nope. I can't fake a laugh well enough to convince somebody I mean it when I don't.
And don't worry - I roll my eyes to let them know I got it but didn't find it funny! ; )

Exactly...... I always laugh even if it's not funny.... that way they'll go on and attack the next person with their cheesy joke.
