Did he say "Can't we all just get along?" or "Can we get along?". I've seen it differently in different places.

"People, I just want to say, you know, can we all get along?" According to wikipedia these were his exact words.

Both phrases were used in his statement which was several minutes in length.

I really don't know, but if I were him, after it was over, I'd do a "Samuel Jackson" speech on those attackers, from "Pulp Fiction" (And I shall strike him down with great vengeance...."etc.!)
