I recently had a conversation with a squatter who resided in an abandon building and he kept referring to his place of residence as an abandonminium. Talk about making up words to suffice.

Believe it or not, they didn't invent the word. The Urban Dictionary says
"abandonminium
n. a crackhouse in inner cities
I ain't goin ta thuh abandonminium without muh pipe."
If you Google the word you'll get 156 hits.
