I mean I understand their need to express their feelings and all that touchy-feely stuff, but why do they have to go on and on and on. Sometimes i just want to tell my gf to shut up, because it's constant ranting. I know there more guys out there who feel like this and are too afraid to speak, i know you guys ignore women when they talk alot, it's like the teacher from chralie brown.

I think Atousa is correct (I'm a guy). I think this is largely an issue of affirmation and recognition for women....although I know some guys that are like this as well.

Like ex-dirty stripper, I will also be interested to see your answers. Another thing I will be interested to see is her coming out of retirement (sorry, couldn't resist).

You know, thats a damn good question. I am a woman myself and I personally don't have to fill every silence with whatever is floating around in my head. I work with women who just can't shut up! I'll be interested to see your answers.
