Trivia: The Army refused to co-operate after reading the script. The National Guard had no such qualms and gladly offered their co-operation.

Goofs: Factual errors: Klaatu's meeting is scheduled for 8:30pm, but when he starts to address the crowd it is dark outside, which wouldn't occur until at least a half hour later in Washington in July.

fab film, moral of the story if aliens did land here, mankind would kill what they don't understand.
