I've been so angry about this whole nonsense $1000 "pay it forward" garbage I could blow chunks.
This woman wants to "change someone's life" with a thousand dollars -- please!!! Oprah is a multi-billionaire who could do a lot more than give someone a measly grand. Would I take it? Sure. But $1000 isn't going to "change my life."
It's insulting and patronizing in the extreme. It's like giving someone your pocket change, and claiming you've eliminated poverty. It's arrogant and presumptuous. I wouldn't give her the time of day.

Most of it, I keep 10 million and bank it to live on and invest.
Give her the billions back as she helps more people then I ever could and besides, I will end up loosing it anyways. Way too much money for me...

I'd ask eher what she wanted to do with her life..then
if she had a plan, Let's say for example; a business plan, I would look it over, advise her, and then give her the money to get it going..
That is true philanthropy, giving people the help to help themselves.
