I don‘t know anything about a plaster spinal jacket, but
I can tell you about the one I wear. It is tailored out of
though cotton and has two 1 cm sheaths down either
side of my spinal cord (twisted into my body shape)
and two on either lateral side. These are made of steel
and do not bend, making this "corset" into a spinal
immobilizer. Reason, L5 is fractured and thereon down
to the sacral region all spinal disks are squashed or
broken. This damage was caused by a sporting impact.
The adjustments are made by tightening six Velcro strips
on the front.

I only take it off for a quick shower and have no problem
sleeping with it on. Walking is problematic and have to use
a cane for balance and the best I can do is two blocks as
the pain is an impairment. A surgical solution is not
recommended since damage is severe.

Guess you will know by now that I am not cheating! All the
best to you, Iain

This is not learned thru Yahoo answers. You need to undergo special training for this in a bone or spinal center.
