Actually, I like both a lot. Dolly's is much gentler and smoother and Whitney's is much more powerful - they're both good.

I love Dolly and love her version (and she did write it!) but Whitney's version makes me cry. So, that is a round about way if saying Whitney's!

Dolly's for sure. She sings it truer, plus Dolly is just the sh!t! Whitney over does it and totally "hollywoods out" a classic song.

I like them both. Whitney takes it to another level but Dolly ain't no slouch just watching her with her guitar singing it to Johnny on the tonight show is the Bomb.
