NEVERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

2006-12-04 05:08:26 · answer #1 · answered by Anonymous · 0 0

Probably not, because by the same age as Kobe Michael Jordan led the league in scoring 3 times. Kobe didnt average 30 points a game until his 6th season. Jordan averaged 27 points a game his rookie season and hit the 30 point mark by his 3rd averaging above 37 points a game and continue to average 30 points or more a game for the next 7 years. and in turn of championship Kobe hasn't won a championship by leading his team, shaq was leading that team. Kobe Bryant talent level maybe almost as much as Jordan, but Jordan had more work ethic, heart and desire to acheive greatness than Kobe does. Watch for Lebron and Dwayne Wade who are quickley climbing up the chart of the best in the league and knocking on Kobe's door.

Absolutely, I think that Kobe Bryant is arguably the best player in the history of the NBA. He is without a doubt the best scorer. Unfortunately, I think that people tend to judge him for who he is as a person, and what he does off the court, and they always put him down because of that. The man scored 81 points in a game, how often do you see that. And for anybody who thinks that he is selfish, pay attention to that. In that game, the Lakers were down by 12 at one point. Had he give up and decide to pass the ball, the Lakers would have ended up like that Game 7 in Phoenix, a blowout. You can't blame someone for not having good players around him. Would you then say that A.I is not good because he doesn't make players around him better? It's a similar story, he is always among the tops scorers, but never goes to the playoffs. I don't hear anybody complaining about him being selfish. Kobe was able to take the Lakers to the 7th spot in the West and lose in Game 7 against the 2nd seed, but he is selfish? That totally make sense!

I had the privilege growing up being able to watch Jordan play and Kobe is not as talented, sorry. Kobe is the best player in the league but is no MJ. Someday there will be somebody more talented than Jordan, there has to be, that's how history works. There's no way anyone can sit here and say there never will be anyone better than Jordan, that's just dumb. Records are meant to be broken, and great players are meant to be de-throwned.

Not even close. He isn't physically as talented, or mentally tough. Jordan came out the gate averaging 30 points a game. Like I say, if you can't start like Jordan, you can't finish like Jordan. Lebron James has a better chance at have a Jordan like career then Kobe, because Kobe already blew his chance.

No! No! No!

With these questions I always try to think if you could have a machine that could put both players in thier prime at the same time, who then would you take to start a team. The answer is Michael Jordon all the way.

Although, whoever said Lebron is just as talented as Jordon may have a point. If I had to start a team and had to choose between Jordon and Kobe, it would take me a half a second to choose Jordon easily, but if I had to chose between Jordon and Lebron, I'd probably still choose Jordon but only after weeks and weeks of sleepless nights.

Kobe is selfish. Don't believe the myth about him being surrounded by a bunch of dolts and having to do everything. Check out Lamar Odom's statistics. I've seen countless games where Kobe has tried to make the game winner with a fallaway jumper from 25 feet. Yeah, he might hit 1 out of 7, but what about driving and kicking out to an OPEN teammate? I guarantee you that the successful shot % will be higher, but you see which course Kobe takes.

Talented? Sure - even more so. Kobe before knee surgery could jump higher than MJ. Better player? No way - MJ's competitiveness, toughness, & pure skill is simply unmatched. Michael was the best player on his 6 championship teams. Kobe was only a sidekick to Shaq when they won their 3.

No - part of being talented is making the people around you better and Kobe is very laking in this area. He is a great individual player, but far from being a team player
