What does the contract say? It should have a Term listed on it someplace. The only way to find out is to read it.

If there is no specific language, there is probably a cancellation clause with what the terms are.

In the UK there are many rules. What it sounds like is the "Lapse" terms in the contract. Check it out. A contract can "Lapse" for several reasons, some contractual some statute limited. Without knowing more I cant help.....sorry.

People on 'Answers' tend to not give good information when they are asking questions. Contracts are governed by your state. Generally, I believe that you can get out of any 'offer' any time prior to the 'final execution'. Final Execution being all pertinent signatures are on the dotted line.

Unless there is a time limit shown, and unless there are logical reasons for a limit, it is for an indefinite time period.
If they gave you a time within which they would ratify the contract, then you may be able to fight it on that basis, if you have witnesses, or they have done that to others...

if you are in the UK, its six years to enforce from repudiation or default.

You can request a cancel, but they must agree to it. From your vague information its difficult to tell.
