When you see a comercial for the first time it seems longer than the second, even though their the exact same lenght?

cuz your mind already has a mental time length planned out, its the same way like if you take a road trip, going there takes forever, but coming back is always faster

Because the first time, you've never seen it before and you don't know what's going to happen next. You are waiting and when you wait, time seems to go by more slowly. The second time you see it, however, you already know what's going to happen, making it seem shorter.

Because you're more likely to pay attention the first time around, to really see everything. After that, you're not quite as focused on it, so the time seems to go faster.

I agree with the first answer...like when I went to Michigan. It was soooooooooo long the way up, but on the way back it was nothing!

just like when you travel to a place youve never been, the first trip seems to take forever, but the 2nd time you go its shorter...
