No. But there weren't any black families in the village I lived in. Probably that the closest black family was more than 100km away and we never met... I have still to meet an entire black family... but I did met like a dozen black people till now!

Yes, I grew up in a black neighborhood, I used to eat over other people's houses all the time, it was really great. I ate grits, ham, other things I cannot remember right now, but it was really a great time. I am in my 40's, white, and glad I had the life experiences I had. It has made me a loving and kind person. :)

I did. Our family was very good friends with the Hatchetts growing up, and I babysat Fred and George (two younger boys) while their mom would go out. I don't think I recognized back then any cultural differences...of course I knew that they were black, but they were just the Hatchetts to me. The boys collected Star Wars action figures, played football, and read comic books just like my brothers and I.

Nope, never did. I had black friends in Baltimore, but I never ate dinner at their house. The only family I ate with alone with my best friend's family. She was white.

Yep, sure did. Black, Mexican, Chinese, all are the same to me. I choose friends because they were nice and kind hearted, not what color they were.

I will admit, my Parents and one Uncle use to go ballistic, but that showed me how outdated their thinking was. I never understood why we should "only" stick with our own race???
