I know that many people will take the high moral ground and say, "yes" to your question. However, I would say, "no". I think that it is extremely important that we don't allow the state to turn us into 'informers', particularly, where family and friends are concerned. I know that I am making a very general point, and I am not saying that there might not be exceptional circumstances, particularly where the offences are serious, where one might feel compelled to report. Bossy totalitarian states would be very happy to turn us into informers. That is because, like any Communist style government, they believe that your first duty is to the state and not to your family, friends and fellow citizens. So lets be careful about turning ourselves into foot-soldiers of the state.
Society would soon fall apart if we suspected our friends/neighbours might report us for behaviour that the state doesn't approve of. We should remind ourselves that 75% of motoring accidents are caused by those in the 17 - 25 age bracket. You can imagine what I am thinking. Also, the word 'drunk' is an emotive one, and you most certainly don't need to be drunk to be over the limit. Drunk, to me, means falling about without any control.

Yes...several times. Why? I was asked that by some young people in their teens and twenties (the last time I reported someone I was 45).
I told them that the reason I report every person I see drinking and driving...actually see them drinking...is simple. How who I ever live with myself if I said...heck with it none of my business and then that person slammed in the the car with my wife and son in it killing them?
How would they feel if the driver I didn't report killed one of the people they love. That got the point across 99% of the time. There is always one idiot that says drinking and driving is OK because every one does it. Like I said..an idiot.
That's my view on the subject.

My dad was hit by a drunk-driver. He lay in a coma for 3 months and spent 5 years learning to walk again. I would report anyone dumb enough to DWI now. Regardless! If they can't take the punishment, they shouldn't drink the booze. The UK should have zero tolerance. Alcohol affects different people, different ways but ALL alcohol affects ALL people.

I have. A lunatic was driving on the M11 swerving here, there and everywhere and no lights on! It was about 2.30 in the morning so luckily the road wasn't that busy. I phoned the police and told them what direction he was heading ( I had to turn off) so I hope they did catch the s.o.b. Yes, I would do it again if need be.

Absolutely, I have done it before and won't think twice of doing it again. It is my life and my children, friends and families lives that are jeopardized by this very selfish act. The person who drives drunk, is putting their own interests above everyone else on the road. It is a cowardly act. It takes strength of character to admit you have mishandled yourself and need a ride home. It requires humility, to admit you are not capable of operating your vehicle safely. And if a person is not capable of showing that kind of strength of character and humility to protect the people around them, then someone needs to do it for them.

Yes not because they are breaking the law, but because they are a danger to us all. I know in some service stations if the assistant thinks your drunk they will 'phone the local police with your car details.

Yes, even if it was a close family member as they are not only a danger to themselves but also to other people's loved ones.

Yes.
Without hesitation.
I have done it in the past, and I would do it again now if the need arose.
If they want to get p!ssed and kill themselves, that's fine.
But what about the poor innocent passer-by who's unfortunate enough to get killed by them?
Drink drivers should be banned for life. No Excuses.
