My friends and I are planning on stayin up at Mt. Charleston [ Nevada ] a few weeks from now. I dont want to stay at the actual Mt. Charleston Hotel/Lodge. Anyone know of a good place to stay thats close and affordable?

You might try Santa Fe Casino / Hotel. It's not too far from Mt. Charleston and it's way more affordable. The rooms are pretty nice for the price. Go to www.stationcasinos.com. Hope this helps you.

Why stay on Mt Charlston? The strip and all the motels are only 45mins drive away. There is nothing to do on the mountain once the ski resort shuts for the night, unless you want to go off piste night time skiing!!! You do realise that the ski resort is only a small resturant, a hire shop and the slopes, there is no accomidation up on the mountain, such as you would find for Brianhead or Big Bear!

never been to nevada but look in the yellow book under hotels
