By whiskey I presume you are either an American or you don't drink it a lot, the proper spelling is WHISKY, so if you can't spell it I would suggest the 12 year old would be good enough, you probably add water or a mixer with it anyway, so then a blend would suffice

Whiskey is the Irish spelling for what we commonly refer to as (Scotch) Whisky.
Incidently it was Irish settlers in Scotland that introduced the technology to produce the stuff! God Bless 'Em!
