The louder the music, the stronger the pressure on your eardrums.

Neural overload, all that sensory information (music) has to be processed. Also the pressures of the music will give you a headache. You probably use bud earphones on your little iPod or whatnot. Try using traditional headphones, bud headphones have an increased production of hearing loss in their users. If you get headache maybe you should turn it down a little? Sounds simple enough. Why do people get headaches when people yell at you for an hour? lol Just turn it down, pain is a sign from your body saying "I don't like this please stop or it's going to get worse."

I suspect it has something to do with our ear drums. Our ear drums are not only allowed us to ear, but are is also closely associated with how we balance our bodies when we walk around or just plainly sitting in a chair. When our ear drums are constantly irritated by something such as loud music, our brain would have problems processing the music we hear and the false sense of losing balance from the ear drums.

When our brain cells are fighting each other like that, we are bound to get headaches, so treat yourself nice. Turn to the music volume to the modest amount and enjoy the music without hurthing yourself. :-)

Does a screaming, spoiled baby/child give you a headache? Yes. Why? Because it's loud. Loud music does the same thing because it, like a screaming, spoiled kid, it puts too much stress on your ear drums, sometimes even causing tiny fractures on the bones in your ears (if the decibals are high enough), which adds to the discomfort.

It's your body's way of telling you to turn it down. Too much exposure to loud music can cause permanent hearing loss.
