The most important thing is to make sure that you follow the relevant campaign finance laws. In many states (and in federal elections) you cannot raise campaign funds until you have registered with the appropriate agency: usually the state elections board or secretary of state's office. In the case of federal office, the Federal Elections Commission.

So find out who the relevant person is, and make sure you fill out the correct paperwork before you get yourself in legal trouble.

Once the legal stuff is out of the way, ask anyone and everyone you know for money. The worst they can say is No.

As to organizations, find organizations that agree with your political point of view and tell them that. Most large groups are far more likely to support incumbents (who can actually do something).

Good bet: Find out which organizations dislike the person you are running against if you are the challenger. If you have any sort of base or credibility, they are likely to want to help you out.

As for businesses, corporations are legally forbidden to give money to campaigns in most states. But they use Political Action Committees for that purposes. There are directories of PACs for most states -- check with the elections board in your state.

Good luck on whatever you are running for!

If he (or she) expects to win, he sells his soul to those interests with deep pockets. Now, they own him. Those interests include the national Democrat and Republican Parties (which are themselves in the pockets of the globalists (the Council on Foreign Relations comes to mind).

It is possible for an honest person to get elected. For this to happen, the electorate needs to be informed. People have been so dumbed down by the public schools and popular culture that this rarely happens. If you want to be part of the solution, educate yourself. Learn about the proper function of government (protection of life and property). And study the Constitution.

Publicity. Hold rallies and functions from the grassroots level and put your name into the media.
