I saw a bumper sticker with that slogan on it yesterday. I thought it was brilliant because that is exactly how I feel about our situation with the war.
Any thoughts?

I agree.
If we spent more time on our problems right here in the USA we would live better.
We focus on more outside than inside.
There are people living on the streets and eating out of dumpsters and we feel it is more important to focus on other countries.
Hummmmm wonder if we focused on homeless and such if we could make America better?

I like it. Unfortunately, it seems most liberals and conservatives seem to think it is our business to butt into everybody else's issues and come up with a solution (typically one that benefits some US corporation). Certainly as global citizens, we can participate in international affairs. But it is not necessary to jam our agenda down everybody's throat all the time. Unfortunately, as the US is presumably the world's only superpower, the temptation is to use that power. But I suppose that in another 50 years or so, China will be in the hot seat and the US will be in retreat like Great Britain after its empire diminished. Probably won't be many American solutions after that--for good or evil. Because nobody will figure the US has much relevance.

Love it the bumper sticker. Maybe once Americans have taken all the goods from poorer countries, then they will leave everyone alone. But then again, how wold the US government justifying spending so much on thier military if they didnt get into a war now and then.

I concur to an extent. What is happening in Iraq is a result of the WORLD not taking care of the problems. The UN should be doing more to find the solutions. The US cannot do it all and shouldn't be expected to.

Instead of being angry at what the US does. Shouldn't more people be angry at what the rest of the world never tries to do.

Iran and North Korea know the US will never drop a nuclear weapon on them. The US will probably never even attack them (unless attacked first). So why do they want one?
