Society has gone mad.
A man dare not look or smile at a child, lest he gets branded a perv or a pedophile.
Yet for some reason, society does not feel the same way about women.
This is deeply unfair as there are just as many documented cases of women abusing children, as there are men.
Why do we allow this injustice to continue?

Actually, a female friend and I were talking about this very subject Friday - and we don't feel anymore comfortable around strange children than you do. We aren't above suspicion, just maybe a little less suspected. I feel for you - I love kids and I'm an active volunteer with my local horse community. Needless to say, I spend my summers up to my ears in kids, but there are only a few I'll touch, even if they are crying. Pretty sad, isn't it? I think we should start frying baby rapists - that might help.

Probably because we look at rape more than we do molestation. To rape a male is a hard thing because they need arousal. However they can still be molested by a female. Woman of all ages are easy targets to men but, men are only defenseless at younger ages to woman mostly.

Younger children are less likely to speak about an assault or assume it at that time as inappropriate especially from and authority figure.

Since the dawn of history men have mostly been the ones in power and older in marriage. Females are also noted for being nurturing to children and being compassionate. It is simply stereotypical and loose statistics that people will think that way.

It all depends on the individual. I however don't mind a guy smiling at a kid. Perhaps if that individual looks like Michael Jackson I may get a little judgmental.

Simple truth. When you look at the numbers more men are going after very young children versus women. I have yet to hear a case of a woman trying to have any sort of sexual relations with a young child. I have seen the teachers with teenagers but not younger.
I have never felt akward to smile or say hi to a child in a grocery store but if your a man in a park and talk to a child that is by his or erself than yes it could look strange. Thats society blame it on the pervs. Also as above I wouldnt converse with a child that is alone anywhere in fear of scaring the child. I was once a child and was scared a few times cause you never know and strangers are strangers.

Simply because men are considered to be agressors more so than women. Hence, the reason why society is more likely to believe that a man beat up a woman rather than vice vera and that it is impossible for a woman to rape a man. A police officer once told me that whenever he goes to a domestic dispute call and the woman appears to be more beat up than the man, its the man that goes to jail. Even if she beat up on him and then she decided to hurt herself to frame him, he is going to jail.

Also, I knew of a guy who was charged with a sex crime towards a minor and was put on the sex offender list simply because a curious kid was in the men's restroom unsupervised. This guy was inside of the toilet stall minding his own business when this kid starts crawling under all the stall doors. Once the kid crawled under the stall door where the guy was, and he was in there using the toilet, the guy screamed at the kid and he ran out of the restroom crying. Long story short- When mall security arrived, the kid pointed out the man that scared him and said that he saw the guy's private parts. It eventually got all cleared up, but the guy was listed as a child sex offender before anyone wanted to know what really happened.

This is not unfair. A man can barely control himself, where as a women can live without it. Women actually have a stronger natural urge to protect children, it is very unlikely. Half of women who commit these deeds I believe were ruined by men. Nice to get some common sense in the society. Many women as men? This is (beep.) I know for sure fire that ain't true. How dare they try and make women look that bad. They never did that for women against man. Injustice? You get a number of all of the women beating up their husbands, and what they do, and then all of the husbands beating up their wives, and what THEY do and you come back to me. You better read deeper into the book in history class and listen in between the lines. Give me a report of what a woman's rank was in the medieval ages compared to a man of her rank. A woman is more intelligent, why can she not be a higher rank? This is obviously the more important trait and obviously needed more. What to SPEAK of how they were treated! "A man is not to treat women with unkindness, for this is sinning and destroying a woman's natural nature." Yeah well a BILLION DARN DECADES OF UNKINDNESS IS SURE ENOUGH! Don't you dare talk about injustice. If you want to complain, complain to man. Man, species who spreads arrogance and rakes hate in the hearts of nearly all around him, and demands respect, yet does not deserve it and does not pay it to anyone else. This shows little understanding of respect. They set the rules but break, do not give but always take. The faults go on and on, without guilt, for all he's killed.

... They killed the Indians because they were actually the nice ones.

Maybe you have been oblivious to the new lately? Have you seen how many women have been arrested and charged with statutory rape and indecencies with students? I know that men used to be the targets for pedophilia, but that is just not the case anymore.

Not to be simplistic about such a complex and important matter but I think losing virginity is more of a problem for girls then men,,, also if I was abused as a youngster by my teacher lady for example .. i would have been proud of it....
