I've heard little actually bad about the current Triumphs produced in Hinckley; friends of mine have other models, Daytona/Speed Triple etc, and the build quality and reliability is equal to anything made in Japan. Of the modern Bonneville, though, there may be some issues of spokes breaking and causing tyre blowouts. Check with a Triumph dealer before buying.

Yes, I own an 02 standard Bonneville and I can tell you that they are a wonderful machine. While not a high performance bike it does everything very well. There are a few websites dedicated to them like www.bellacorse.com and www.newbonneville.com and several forums also. Look into yahoo groups, search Bonneville (you have to join but its free).

My father has one. Never been anything less than perfect. Wind gets a bit much at high speeds, but that's just unfaired bikes in general. Dealers very good.
